Recognition in Slack that still exists at review time
Slash command or a chosen emoji. Caps on given, not received. Weekly digest. On Team, one AI page per person a month.
Most recognition Slack apps optimize for the moment. A taco appears. A channel cheers. Six months later the manager opens a blank review form. Kudos Rally stores the note with a name, a timestamp, and optional values tags, then feeds it into a monthly recap.
Slash command or the emoji you chose
/kudos @priya rolled back the bad migration without paging the whole on-call. Optional tag on Team: #ownership.
Or: react with the emoji you picked at setup. The original message becomes the text. Cap is 500 characters. Longer notes belong in the review, not in the reaction.
Both paths take about 15 seconds. Neither opens a second app. Neither asks the giver to rate anyone out of 5. If the source message is "lol", the stored text is "lol". Coaching lives in the formulas.
Setup is one digest channel and one emoji. We do not ask you to map an org chart first.
Caps sit on given, not received
Free: 3 given per person per day, 10 people. Team: 5 a day, 50 people. Business keeps the 5-a-day cap for 200 people. The cap is on given, not received. A well-liked person can receive 40. A person who never gives still receives.
We do not sell extra daily kudos. HeyTaco lets you set the daily taco limit; default 5. Same idea, they are more flexible. We picked 3 and 5 to ship.
Digest prefers the long notes
The weekly digest posts a date range, counts of kudos, givers, and receivers, then the five longest notes. Short "thanks" notes still count. They just do not fill the digest body.
On Team, a monthly leaderboard posts once. It is a cheer, not a performance score. The AI recap is the review artifact. See kudos for performance reviews.
Price shape
Team is from $29 a month for 50 people. HeyTaco Classic at $3 per user is $150 for 50. See the pricing table and Kudos Rally vs HeyTaco.
